Commissioner Fiona Ryan recently welcomed Roisin McGlone to the COSICA office. Both had previously spoken at University College Cork’s Dealing With Difficult Pasts conference, where they discussed historical institutional abuse and the experiences of women and children.
During their recent meeting, the Commissioner took the opportunity to outline the ongoing work of the office and share her insights from five years of supporting victims and survivors. The conversation had particular resonance in the context of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
